| The chances are great that when the Christian Missionaries ordained this sex position as the one and only wholesome posture for copulation, they hadn’t fathomed the possibility of taking the back door, and they were not envisioning a ferocious round of man sex. Then again, who can say what those Missionaries truly had in mind, or what they did behind closed doors after long days of crusading against the hedonistic carnal practices of those cultures they visited. Certainly some of them had to take a little of that hedonism back to their own bedrooms, and indeed time has proven that a little bit (or a lot) of hedonism in bed goes a long way.
Whatever the history, this of course is the “Classic Missionary Position” gone gay. While this position is generally regarded by straight couples as the starter move (and a recurring favorite), the penetrative sexual journey for gay men more frequently begins with a standing or kneeling doggie position which is a more natural angle for anal sex. The “Classic Missionary,” while still a relatively easy move to perform requires a bit more skill when performed anally. The angle of entry is somewhat lower than in the vaginal version, and a tad more flexibility comes in quite handy for the bottom, whose legs should be relatively wide. |

| If you think that the missionary position is boring, that’s a sign that you’ve been trapped inside "the box", and the real problem is you’ve been doing missionary the way the Christian Missionaries did it. “The one-legged warrior” re-defines the standard missionary or top-on-top position, leaving the bottom in a relaxed on his back posture, but moving the top into a very active semi-standing “warrior” stance.
The impact of this technique, is not minor or subtle, it is major. The top obtains an amazing degree of leverage by taking one leg off the bed and planting it firmly on the floor. He is suddenly able to thrust with much more vigor, much deeper, as desired. He is also able to implement more complex pelvic thrusting styles such as “the roll” and various stirring motions. And he is at the ready to transition into a number of other off-the-edge-of-the-bed positions, or he can climb back onto the bed and flow into any number of on-the-bed positions. This fairly easy to implement move breathes new life into the classic top-on-top position. Most everybody loves this move once they try it. |
